Dear CIML Members, The draft of R 106-1 was put on the OIML web site for direct CIML online approval with a deadline of 2010.04.16. Due to the poor repsonse (only 29 CIML Members had responded by the deadline), I sent out individual reminders to those CIML Members who had not voted on 2010.04.19. To date we have received responses from 37 Members. Apart from the fact that this is still not enough to approve the draft, this online approval has not been successful since there was one "no" vote. A draft must be therefore be presented to the 45th CIML Meeting in September. If you have any last minute comments, please send them to me immediately, as the draft will be removed from the voting page on Monday 21 June. To improve the success of future direct online CIML approvals, may I remind you that it is one of your responsibilities as CIML Member to vote on drafts submitted for direct CIML online approval or for CIML preliminary ballot. You should also remember that the Directives for the technical work require reasons to be given for an abstention or a negative vote. It has also been stressed on numerous occasions that it is important for you participate in online voting, within the given deadlines, in order to accelerate the OIML's technical work. Best regards, Ian Dunmill Assistant Director, BIML
