Dear colleagues,

Please find attached version 1 of the collated comments on the draft revision 
of the Directives (which you were sent in May 2010, asking for comments by 12 
August 2010).

Please note that this paper includes only the comments;  I have not yet had 
time to provide BIML responses.  I am sending you these comments now to allow 
you as much time as possible to study them before the CIML Meeting, and 
therefore to allow a productive discussion on this subject.

I intend to send you version 2 of this paper in about two weeks' time, which 
will include responses, as well as any more CIML comments which I receive by 
that time.
