Dear Colleagues

At its 45th Meeting in Orlando in 2010, the CIML discussed the revision of the
Directives for OIML technical work as a result of the Draft sent to CIML
Members in May 2010.  Following Resolution 24 of that Meeting, you are now
being sent an enquiry to seek your personal views on a number of fundamental
matters in these Directives.

Please therefore find attached:

1  A circular explaining the enquiry (pdf),
2  A background paper to the enquiry (pdf),
3  Four reply forms (pdf & doc),
4  The Draft revision of the Directives which was distributed to you in May
2010 (pdf),
5  The collated comments from CIML Members in response to that enquiry (pdf).

As requested in the attached circular, please complete the reply forms and
return them to me

                    on or before 16 May 2011

so that I can use them to revise the Draft of the Directives.  I intend to
send you this revised Draft by the end of May for voting, so that a final
version can be presented to the CIML Meeting in Prague.

If you have any questions on the attachments, or have any difficulties in
filling them in or in returning them to me, please contact me directly by
e-mail as soon as possible.
