Introduction

Since its establishment in 1955, the International Organization of Legal Metrology has always endeavored to conclude agreements with other international organizations whenever necessary, with a view to strengthening collaboration and international harmonization.

The objective is to avoid contradictory requirements; consequently, manufacturers and users of measuring instruments, test laboratories, etc. may simultaneously apply OIML Publications and those of other institutions (See web sites of international and regional organizations in liaison with the OIML).
