Current situation

Three Declarations of Mutual Confidence were signed at the outset of the MAA implementation:

• R 49: Water meters
• R 60: Load cells
• R 76: Nonautomatic weighing instruments

These DoMCs have been revised several times, in particular to include new participants, to change the status of participation (Issuing Participant or Utilizing Participant) of various participants, and to update the scope.

Currently, the three DoMCs together include 22 participating countries, of which 10 are Issuing Participants.

Maintenance process of the existing DoMCs

A joint meeting of the three CPRs (R 49, R 60 and R 76) was held in Braunschweig, Germany on 21 – 23 September 2011, completing the four-year cycle for the renewal of participation. This process resulted in new revisions of the DoMCs which are now available.

The next intermediate documentary assessment will be launched later in 2013.

Revisions of OIML B 3 and B 10

New versions of OIML B 3 and OIML B 10 were approved by the CIML in October 2011 (Resolution no. 19 at the 46th CIML Meeting).

During the 2012 CIML Meeting, an Amendment to B 10 was approved and subsequently published, to include the use of test results from manufacturers' testing laboratories (MTLs) under the controlled supervision of Issuing Participants. The acceptance of these results by utilizing participants will remain voluntary.
